About The Show

Two Guys, Two Buckets, One Frozen Lake.

Welcome to the ice shanty, a place where time slows down, the perch are elusive, and the secrets of the universe are solved with a roll of duct tape.

Guys On Ice isn't just a musical; it’s a celebration of the "frozen tundra" lifestyle. We follow the world-renowned (at least in their own minds) ice anglers, Marvin and Lloyd. As they sit out on the lake waiting for the big one to bite, they spend their time pondering the deeper things in life:

  • The proper way to choose a lure.

  • The agonizing wait for a Sunday Packers game.

  • The romantic tension of a long-distance relationship with a woman who works at the local Fleet Farm.

  • And, of course, the existential necessity of beer.

Why You’ll Hook Into It

From the mind-bending choreography of two guys trying to stay warm in snowsuits to show-stopping hits like "The Wishing Hole" and "Ode to a Snowmobile Suit," this show is a love letter to the Upper Midwest. Whether you’ve spent your life on a frozen lake or you wouldn’t know a tip-up from a toaster, you’ll find yourself humming along and nodding in agreement.

"It’s like 'Waiting for Godot,' but with more flannel and a much higher chance of catching a walleye."

The Philosophy

At its heart, Guys On Ice is about friendship. It’s about the quiet moments between the jokes where two buddies realize that maybe they aren't just out there to catch fish—maybe they’re out there to make sure they aren’t alone in the cold.

So, grab your parka, leave your worries at the shoreline, and come see why audiences have been "drilling in" to this cult classic for decades.

Warning: Side effects may include a sudden urge to buy a jig pole and an inexplicable craving for cheese curds.
